By the end of this training, you will have established the foundational systems and procedures to manage your grant program efficiently.
Module 1 – Grant Manager Expectations
Responsibilities of grant managers; identifying and managing expectations related to grant funding; understanding where to find your grant’s foundational documents; organizing and planning your grant work; developing a logic model for your grant project.
Module 2 – Grant Outcomes & Deliverables
Responsibilities to plan effective communication with your grant stakeholders; reviewing project management concepts relevant to grant managers; identifying your grant strategies, activities, deliverables, and outcomes; designing a deliverables dashboard for your grant project.
Module 3 – Grant Documentation
Responsibilities for documentation and communication; overview of types of incoming, internal, and outgoing documentation involved in grant work; maintaining documentation of grant activities, policies, procedures, and finances; exploring and outlining policies and procedures required for your grant project.
Module 4 – Grant Finances
Responsibilities to track and monitor grant expenditures; establishing working relationships with your organization’s accounting/finance office; creating and utilizing a budget expenditure tracking spreadsheet for your grant project.
