Challenges with project implementation lead to major problems later in the project—monitoring findings, at-risk designations, and poor performance. Our team of experts instructs project directors, managers, and staff at the onset of a project, guiding them using proven tools and techniques. TGC staff can also provide interim project management services to help launch the project while permanent staff are being recruited.

West Virginia University Parkersburg (WVUP) hired a TGC Coach as their interim Project Director for their U.S. Department of Labor Strengthening Community Colleges Round 2 grant. As interim Project Director, the TGC Coach has responded to conditions in the grant agreement and got a budget modification approved, worked with Human Resources to advertise grant positions, developed the procurement announcement for a third-party evaluator, and implemented a performance tracking system and data collection procedures. The TGC interim Project Director worked closely with the DOL federal project officer and Washington, DC project staff to meet information request deadlines and streamline the program’s performance measures.
