WorkED is partnering with Cardinal Education on a workforce study examining the future of master’s-level engineering talent across Virginia.
The project focuses on analyzing the intersection of industry demand, graduate program capacity, and workforce supply across key engineering disciplines. WorkED is conducting labor market analysis, developing talent forecasts, and identifying potential gaps between employer needs and the pipeline of emerging graduates.
The study is designed to inform strategic planning for graduate-level engineering programs, ensuring alignment with evolving workforce demands. By integrating labor market data with higher education insights, the project aims to support more responsive program development and strengthen long-term talent pipelines across the Commonwealth.
This work contributes to a broader effort to ensure that advanced engineering education remains closely connected to the needs of industry and regional economic growth.
