WorkED/TGC Grants and Projects Manager Adrienne Ward (pictured left) is attending the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2025 Industrial Training & Assessment Centers Directors Meeting representing BridgeValley Community and Technical College‘s ITAC Project Team. Adrienne is providing project management services in collaboration with BridgeValley’s Dean of Technology Norm Mortensen (pictured right) and with partners Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and West Virginia University. Dr. Bhaskaran Gopalakrishnan (pictured middle), representing WVU’s ITAC, has been a instrumental mentor and supporter of the CTCs and expansion of this important work.
This project is an example of how we provide comprehensive and full cycle grant services at TGC. We partnered with BridgeValley CTC, Blue Ridge CTC, and WVU to write the original concept paper and submit to the U.S. Department of Energy, developed the full grant proposal, provided pre-award services and coordination with the USDOE, and now provide project management services throughout the three-year period of performance.
The Industrial Training and Assessment Centers (ITAC) Program provides hands-on job training for clean energy careers while helping small and medium sized manufacturers (SMMs) save energy, improve performance, and reduce emissions. BridgeValley CTC received a grant of $3 million as part of the inaugural round of awards to community and technical colleges.
